Key takeaways
- AI saves the most time on first drafts, research summaries and reading reports, not on final decisions.
- Set up a workspace (for example a Claude Project) with your brand facts so every answer starts from your business.
- Always check prices, claims, dates and Arabic copy before anything is published.
- A 60-minute weekly AI routine can replace hours of scattered marketing work.
What AI is good at in marketing, and what it is not
Large language models such as Claude and ChatGPT are excellent at producing first drafts, summarising long text, spotting patterns in reviews or comments, suggesting angles and rewriting copy for a different audience or tone. They are fast, tireless and good at structure.
They are not reliable sources of fresh facts, prices, laws or platform rules, and they do not know your customers unless you tell them. They can also sound confident when they are wrong. The owner's job is to give good context, ask clear questions and check the output.
| Task | AI role | Human role |
|---|---|---|
| Customer research | Summarise reviews, comments and FAQs into themes | Confirm with real conversations |
| Offer and messaging | Suggest angles, hooks and headlines | Choose what is true and profitable |
| Ad copy | Draft variations in English and Arabic | Check claims, tone and Arabic quality |
| Content calendar | Plan 30 days around pillars and UAE dates | Adjust to capacity and brand |
| Reporting | Explain what changed and why, from exported data | Decide budget moves |
Set up your AI workspace once
The biggest upgrade is to stop starting from a blank chat. In Claude, a Project lets you store instructions and files that apply to every conversation in it. Create one called 'Marketing Brain' and add your brand facts: what you sell, prices in AED, who your customers are, your emirate and area, your tone of voice, the words you never use, and your best-performing ads or posts.
Once that is in place, a request like 'write three Instagram captions for our weekend offer' starts from your real business, not a generic one. You spend less time correcting and more time choosing.
- Brand sheet: products, prices, service areas, opening hours, USPs.
- Customer sheet: top questions, objections, the words customers use in reviews.
- Rules: tone, banned claims, bilingual requirements, approval steps.
LSM tip: Keep sensitive customer data out of AI tools. Summarise or anonymise first, in line with the UAE's data protection principles.
Seven high-value uses for UAE businesses
These are the jobs where business owners in our programme typically save the most time. Each one is a starting point that you then check and improve.
- Review mining: paste your Google reviews and ask for the five things customers value most, in their own words.
- Offer building: ask for three offer ideas for a slow weekday, with the maths on margin.
- Bilingual ad copy: ask for English and Arabic versions written for the same idea, not translated word for word.
- Content calendar: a 30-day plan across your content pillars, including Ramadan, Eid, National Day or back-to-school where relevant.
- Keyword brainstorming: a list of 'I need it now' searches and a list of negative keywords to exclude.
- Report reading: paste exported campaign data and ask what changed week on week and what to test next.
- Customer replies: draft friendly, on-brand replies to common WhatsApp questions for your team to reuse.
A prompt structure that works: CREATE
Good prompts give the AI the same brief you would give a new team member. At LSM we teach the CREATE formula: Context (your business and situation), Role (who the AI should act as), Examples (what good looks like), Action (the exact task), Tone (how it should sound) and Expected output (format and length).
For example: 'Context: we are a family dental clinic in Al Barsha, Dubai, open until 10pm. Role: act as a senior performance marketer. Examples: here are our two best-performing ads. Action: write five new Meta ad headlines for evening appointments. Tone: warm, clear, no medical claims. Expected output: a table with English and Arabic versions, under 40 characters each.'
Guardrails: accuracy, honesty and permissions
AI makes it easy to publish more, which makes it easy to publish mistakes. Check every price, date and claim. Do not let AI invent testimonials, results or statistics. If you use AI images, avoid making them look like real customers or real before-and-after results.
Some UAE industries need extra care. Healthcare advertising and real estate advertising have their own approval and permit requirements from the relevant authorities, and platform rules also apply. AI will not know your specific permit status, so keep a human sign-off step for anything regulated.
A 60-minute weekly AI marketing routine
Consistency beats intensity. This routine keeps your marketing moving without taking over your week.
| Time | Task |
|---|---|
| 10 min | Export last week's results from Meta, Google and your lead sheet |
| 15 min | Ask AI to summarise what changed, what worked and what to test |
| 15 min | Draft next week's posts and two new ad variations with AI |
| 10 min | Check facts, Arabic copy and offers; approve |
| 10 min | Schedule posts, launch tests and note decisions in your log |
LSM tip: Save the prompts that work as reusable cards. After a month you will have your own marketing playbook.
